The Heart

A family waits outside in a waiting room in a hospital, they're father has just had a terrible heart attack. They are so worried and they wait minute by minute as it seems to go so slow. They can't be anymore worried and upset, their feelings are undescribeable. They feel as if they will never see him again. Their worries are turned to sadness and they start to give up that it's the end. The give up on hope drifting off into total sadness, but then something strikes them and it strikes them hard.

One of them says "Wait!, how can we give up so easily" , the others start to take notice and they start to realise that there is hope, there is a chance and giving up is the last thing they want to do. They know that the odds are impossible, but still to give up and to let the devil take control is not what we want. So one of the family members says "We should pray, our father who always has loved us would want us to" and so they start to pray together asking the Lord to come into their lives, show their father a second chance to live and to enjoy the rest of his life.

Hours seem to pass, their hopes may be up and they are still sad becuase we can never get rid of all of the sadness we feel, but we can at least hope and believe. Even if things turn out to be bad as the end result God still has a plan and there's a reason why it had to happen. We may not understand it because we can't understand. Our minds are not meant to understand how powerful he truly is.

The family cries so hard after the doctor comes out and with a sad face says to them that it is too late and he died. They sob uncontrollably and it's not something that the doctor wanted to deal with telling a family like that.

The family knows that he is in a better place, it may not be the thing they wanted but shortly after they have greaved from the passing of their father, one of their daughters will bring new life into this world. The joy returns to their life, but still it is not easy to miss their father, but it's just a part of life. The trials and tests of God will always be there. In this world there is sin, more than we know and it's hard, but we must pray and do the best we can to make each day better. Things may not work out the way we expected, but we will see that there is a reason and we have to just be patient and see his plan. It's hard, but have faith and believe that there's a reason for everything.

Thank You :)

Just as i enjoy writing inspirational stories whether they are based on real life or fictional, it is always nice to see comments of those i have touched. Jesus is a huge part of my life, i wouldn't be me without him. He is my inspiration, who gives me the will to go on. I am not without sin, in fact over these last two years it has been what i would call hell. I have struggled to keep a job, stay faithful and just be me. Each and everytime i find that my faith in Jesus endures and without a doubt we all are going to face  many trials, it's just a part of life.

All i can say, no matter how bad the sin, no matter what you have done there is one thing that is so true. Jesus loves you still and he's not going to turn his eyes away from you. He knows the effect sin has on our lives and he knows we're in a constant battle between good and evil. Everywhere you look there is temptations of every kind, from food to anything you can think of. We of many religions are of one faith, that faith in Jesus is what will keep us going. I will continue to write inspirational and uplifting stories and i hope that it brings you closer to Christ.

So again, Thank You all for your kind comments. This is why i write, to reach out to all the nations, to show others how much Jesus loves you and he will never stop loving you. So don't let the devil confuse you with doubt. :)

The Word is the Way!

A man walks into a donut shop only thinking of one thing, filling his stomach and satisfying his hunger. He then drives to a local Wal-Mart excited about the latest video game release. He has not even the slightest thought about Jesus on his mind, but instead of playing this certain game. He like so many others only wants to think of his needs and not the needs of others or Jesus for that matter. So he gets home and he eats those donuts, he plays that game and he spends the rest of the day watching tv.

He is so wrapped up in everything else that he doesn't take the time to spend with the Lord. His life could be better but it is less than perfect and he seems to run into more problems than ever before. He struggles to find a job, to make ends meet and to just be himself. He is attracted to the things of the world.

Each and everyday so many of us forget about reading the word of the Lord. We just stumble through life not trying at all and not giving our time to Jesus. Even i have started to neglect the things that matter to me, and that is reading the word. I have promised God before that i would sit down and i would start to read the Bible. I went back on my word and never did so.

We as christians needs to be stronger in our walk with the Lord. We need to read that word each and everyday, otherwise we are going to be tempted and we will give in no matter how hard we try. Think of it as someone standing behind a tree, he's waiting to make his next move and attack you. He's ready and you have no protection, he knows there is a good chance he's going to steal your wallet and get off with nothing.

Then picture yourself with a bunch of people, there's no way this man is going to try anything or he himself will get beat up. We can walk through life and not read the word, but temptation will only be much stronger for us. Not only will reading the word better understand the Lord, but it will also make us feel great.

So unlike other times, i promise to the Lord that today i will pick up that Bible and start reading, even if it's the Psalms or Job, i will read because i want to learn more about Jesus. I want to have that deeper connection with Jesus and by reading the word i will.

The devil doesn't want us to to know more about Jesus, so that's why we always think oh yeah i can read it tomorrow, or i'll do it later. If you don't start today, you never will. You will be more vunerable to his attacks if you do not immerse yourself in the word everyday.

Highway to Heaven

I was at my nephews confirmation recently and the bishop had a very interesting story that he told. It really reminded me of a story that i wrote which was true in real life. My experience was that i was lost in the woods, i didn't know where i was. I was starting to get nervous and afraid becuase i knew nothing about survival. I asked God to lead me and to my surprise i saw a giant white cross that led me back to the Christian Church Camp.

This is in my words the story that he said.

Four guy were taking a hike in the woods, they started to become unfamiliar with the territory. They realised too late they were lost. Each of them started to ask the other, "Do you have a Compass?" and the other said no. Eventually they all realized they forgot to bring the most important thing with them which would lead them home.

They were starting to become frightened as neither of them were much of a suvivalist. They were trying to figure out what was the best way back. Everything looked the same, they were not high enough to see the hills so they couldn't tell.

Each one claimed that a certain way was North. They argued with each other and claimed their way was the true way. They all decided to go a seperate path and find the way home. In reality only one would find their way home, what will happen to the rest.

If you really think about it so many are going to take that road that leads to darkness and do you want to miss that oportunity. Jesus is the Compass in life, if you don't have Jesus then you will not find your way to the Highway to Heaven.

You can go without Jesus, but you will lose your way and then it will be a lonely and depressing life you live, never will you find happiness like you will with Jesus. Each day will be a struggle and you will continue to fall until you accept Christ.

It was a wake up call for me that night as i knew that even i was not living my life the way i should. I was hiding things from my family, i was not living a Godly life and once again i was falling. I had to seriouly think about it, do i want to turn away and not receive the blessings that the Lord has to offer, or do i want to accept Christ and let God work in my life.

Even if you don't know Jesus today, it's never too late. Accept Jesus today and talk to him everyday, don't wait until it's too late. I almost did!

Strength in Numbers

Where do we find ourselves when we walk down a road into a dark alley. We are succeptable to attack, to being robbed and to be killed because we are alone. If you really think of it, it is the same way when we are following the Lord. When you goto church, when you are sitting at home, wherever you are. If you are not in the company of others who believe then you are a direct attack.

Yes, the devil has every chance when you are not in the company of other christians. Take for example a stick, if you bend it and slowly bend it more, will it not break?

It is the same with us, the devil will be sending out all of his dark angels, attacking us. Soon, where will we be? We'll be falling down, losing hope and giving up as so many do. It is very important that we not go it alone.

If for example you find three or four sticks, try and bend them now. Will they break? Surely not! Strength is better in numbers, when we are with others who believe in Jesus the devil can't get to us.

When we are in the oompany of other christians, it is less likely for ourselves to go out and do wrong. We will not be tempted, but instead we will be strong with faith as we talk to others about it.

Climbing Out

Each one of us is going to find ourselves falling into a hole that we can't seem to get out. The devil will be there throwing more dirt into the hole making it even harder for us to escape our problems. Each and everytime we try to climb out, we fall down and seem to hurt ourselves more.

We try to get up , but we often find ourselves trying to do it alone. We can't seem to get out. Each time we think we have a chance, the devil takes his shovel and loads it up with dirt and throws it back in our faces. We fall once again landing hard and knocking the wind out of us.

We eventually start to give up on life, we think that no matter what we do we're going to fail at whatever we try to start. That is where we need to seek the Lord. We can't do anything alone in our lives, so why should we even think to try and climb out of that hole alone.

We need to call on Jesus, he will reach down and lend his hand towards us. He will give us the strength to stand strong against the devil and take charge of our actions. Slowly we find the strength and climb out of the hole. The devil continues to throw dirt on us, but we resist his attacks, we are strong and we eventually make it to the top walking out with a smile on our face. We thank the Lord for everything that he has done. We must continue to lean on his understanding, not our own. It is when we do that that we reach success in our lives. There is no other way, take the hand of the Lord and step out of that hole.

One Equals a Thousand

There isn't much time left for an elderly man, he only have a few months left. He has lived a wonderful and exciting life. He has so many things to be thankful for, nothing to regret and everything to look forward to.

He starts to talk to others at church in front of everyone about his life experiences. He tells about how his life has been truly changed by the Lord. He feels that the Lord has opened new doors for him, shown him things that he truly never would of imagined. He didn't lean on his own understanding, but trusted fully in the Lord. His ways were changed and his life was made meaningfull. He asked the audience a very important question.

He said, "Can a man save the entire world? Can he save every man, woman and child?" Some people shook their heads, others disagreed. It was a mix, the man said that no one could save the entire world, but through our actions and our words we can reach a large audience.

He said, that each one of us has the tool and the gift to reach one another. What happens he said is that each and everyone of us will tell someone else. After a while more and more people know about this mans life experience. So in a way, one person can save a lot of people through his words. As impossible as it may seem, it is possible. He knew that many would go and tell others, it made him very happy down in his heart to know that he could make a difference.

A lot of us are going to think that we can't do anything, but that is just the devil trying to put us down. Reach out to those who are in need, open your hearts and offer them love and forgiveness. Even if you don't think that it will make any difference, it will make Jesus Smile.
