The Proof

I was sitting around earlier, I started to think about how many people want proof that God exists, we are always searching for something to justify that God is there. The proof is already in our hearts and minds, we already know he exists. It's upto us to decide for ourselves whether he is real or not. Some people like to see physical proof, but that isn't how things work.

We can have all the physical proof we want, but if we do not believe then what good is it. Jesus showed us many miracles and wonders, but still they did not believe he was the son of God. So, even if we see all that is great in this world and do not believe, how much better are we?

In my life I have realized that there are far too many things that can't be explained, can't be proven and I still believe because I know that Jesus is real. I may not have heard his voice, or seen his face, but I do believe in him, because if not for him I wouldn't be here today.

Deep down in our hearts we already know the truth and that he is Lord and God alone, it is foolish and stupid to ask ourselves if he really exists because without a doubt he does. Search your hearts and you will know it to be true.

The proof is already there!

How Long?

If a bowling ball falls on your foot, how long will you be able to put up with the pain, you may try to be strong and walk on it, you even take medication to get rid of that pain, but deep down in your heart and mind you know it still hurts and you can't escape it no matter how hard you try. Time goes by, you find yourself living on ibuprofen, nothing seems to help. You know yourself that you will have to go into the doctor. You really don't want to do that, but you have no other choice, the pain is just getting too great and you may have broken it.

Upon going to the doctor you find yourself in a waiting room after having an X-Ray. You can't tell for sure what is wrong, you're having a hard time trying to decide whether it's broken or not. The doctor comes in and tells you that it's fractured and you're going to have to have a cast. You know that's the last thing you want, but you know that the pain will slowly go away with medication and having a cast will help.

It's the same way with putting your trust in Jesus. How long can you live without him? Probably not very long as anything and everything in your life is going to go down hill. The things you thought that made you happy only made you sad. You can deny him, but doing so will only bring more pain and sorrow. Until you take the first step and accept him into your life, you will never find true happiness.

As they say, wide is the road to destruction, but narrow is the road to salvation. Which road are you going to be taking? Just like a broken foot, the pain is always going to be there no matter how hard you try to hide it, the only way you'll get rid of it is to seek help. It's the same way with Jesus, your life will never be complete, you'll never be happy and you'll be doomed to repeat the same things over and over.

Jesus is always around, always knocking at your door, don't shut him out. Let him into your life, let him work miracles in your life, once you do that you will receive many blessings. You will see things in a whole new perspective, life will be more colorful than you ever imagined.

Jesus LOVES you and he's not going to give up on you, open the door to a better life and let him lead you home to the promised land.

Sadness

In every corner of the world, in every home there is sadness. It's overwhelming, uncontrollable and seems to always find its way in. It takes us by surprise, catches us off guard and it's one of the single most dangerous things to keep us down. There, however is a remedy for our sadness, there is a way out, a road to recovery and to happiness. It is only one name, that name is Jesus.

He will and always will wipe away our tears, lift us up and bring a smile to our face. He will give us the strength to go on, to see new horizons and to be a stronger person. So often we are overwhelmed with sadness that we forget who Jesus really is. He died on the cross, suffered for our sins and bears the nail scars in his hands to show us everlasting life.

The is only one solution to our sadness and it is accepting Jesus into our lives, opening up our hearts and letting him fill that void that keeps us down. There are many reasons for what causes our sadness, but there is only one reason for the escape of it, it's simple. It's Jesus and he will never forsake us.

Just like the darkness overtakes the entire world for a moment, light will triumph over darkness and so will Jesus over sadness. If we put our trust and our faith in Jesus , he will bring us happiness and joy. He will open new doors that we never knew existed. Jesus is like the air that we breathe, if we don't have him, we will suffocate and die. Maybe not right away, but our lives will waste away until there is no more.

Stop hiding in the shadows of your sadness, open your heart to Jesus and let the healing begin.

Rays of Sunshine

On a cold winters day, surrounded by so much devastation and so much tragedy was a young brother and sister who were shivering out in the cold. They had no home anymore, the waters rushed up and the winds took it away. The feelings in their hearts were less then great, sadness took over them as tears dropped from their eyes.

Hunched over and feeling worthless and down, they now realised that their lives were not going to be the same. Their hearts ached as their knees became weak as they dropped down and prayed to the Lord. They asked why do things like this happen to good people like us, they looked up into the cloudy sky and their faces with many tears pleaded for help, they were alone and feeling left out.

Then out of no where the clouds started to depart, rays of sunshine started to appear all over such a devastaed area reaching down and warming them up. In such a sad time, in a world of so much sin and sorrow they saw it as a sign that God does care. They stood up and looked up into the sky, their eyes no longer with tears, their hearts feeling the warmth of the Lord and then to their surprise something else happened.

A few people with blankets, food and water appeared. They were a blessing in disquise, it was if God had listened to their hearts and sent them help. Yes, their lives would not be the same, but their hearts were touched and it was the beginning of a good thing. They were no longer cold, they were no longer alone. They felt the love in their hearts so strong, that they extended their arms towards Heaven and thanked the Lord for his love. They were no longer in suffering, but felt his presence so strongly.

I dedicate this story to all of those who have lost someone or their homes in the tragedy from hurricane sandy. In a world with so much evil, there is also so much good. We can and we will triumph over anything we ask the Lord to help us with.
