Strength in Numbers

Where do we find ourselves when we walk down a road into a dark alley. We are succeptable to attack, to being robbed and to be killed because we are alone. If you really think of it, it is the same way when we are following the Lord. When you goto church, when you are sitting at home, wherever you are. If you are not in the company of others who believe then you are a direct attack.

Yes, the devil has every chance when you are not in the company of other christians. Take for example a stick, if you bend it and slowly bend it more, will it not break?

It is the same with us, the devil will be sending out all of his dark angels, attacking us. Soon, where will we be? We'll be falling down, losing hope and giving up as so many do. It is very important that we not go it alone.

If for example you find three or four sticks, try and bend them now. Will they break? Surely not! Strength is better in numbers, when we are with others who believe in Jesus the devil can't get to us.

When we are in the oompany of other christians, it is less likely for ourselves to go out and do wrong. We will not be tempted, but instead we will be strong with faith as we talk to others about it.

Climbing Out

Each one of us is going to find ourselves falling into a hole that we can't seem to get out. The devil will be there throwing more dirt into the hole making it even harder for us to escape our problems. Each and everytime we try to climb out, we fall down and seem to hurt ourselves more.

We try to get up , but we often find ourselves trying to do it alone. We can't seem to get out. Each time we think we have a chance, the devil takes his shovel and loads it up with dirt and throws it back in our faces. We fall once again landing hard and knocking the wind out of us.

We eventually start to give up on life, we think that no matter what we do we're going to fail at whatever we try to start. That is where we need to seek the Lord. We can't do anything alone in our lives, so why should we even think to try and climb out of that hole alone.

We need to call on Jesus, he will reach down and lend his hand towards us. He will give us the strength to stand strong against the devil and take charge of our actions. Slowly we find the strength and climb out of the hole. The devil continues to throw dirt on us, but we resist his attacks, we are strong and we eventually make it to the top walking out with a smile on our face. We thank the Lord for everything that he has done. We must continue to lean on his understanding, not our own. It is when we do that that we reach success in our lives. There is no other way, take the hand of the Lord and step out of that hole.

One Equals a Thousand

There isn't much time left for an elderly man, he only have a few months left. He has lived a wonderful and exciting life. He has so many things to be thankful for, nothing to regret and everything to look forward to.

He starts to talk to others at church in front of everyone about his life experiences. He tells about how his life has been truly changed by the Lord. He feels that the Lord has opened new doors for him, shown him things that he truly never would of imagined. He didn't lean on his own understanding, but trusted fully in the Lord. His ways were changed and his life was made meaningfull. He asked the audience a very important question.

He said, "Can a man save the entire world? Can he save every man, woman and child?" Some people shook their heads, others disagreed. It was a mix, the man said that no one could save the entire world, but through our actions and our words we can reach a large audience.

He said, that each one of us has the tool and the gift to reach one another. What happens he said is that each and everyone of us will tell someone else. After a while more and more people know about this mans life experience. So in a way, one person can save a lot of people through his words. As impossible as it may seem, it is possible. He knew that many would go and tell others, it made him very happy down in his heart to know that he could make a difference.

A lot of us are going to think that we can't do anything, but that is just the devil trying to put us down. Reach out to those who are in need, open your hearts and offer them love and forgiveness. Even if you don't think that it will make any difference, it will make Jesus Smile.

Finding The Strength

Each and everyone of us has trials in their lives which they experience. Sometimes, we feel like we have it bad, but in reality there are people who are having it worse then us. No matter who you are or where you come from, you are to going to experience a down time in your life. Nothing that you do seems to get better, but only worse. For me, that is how I am experiencing everything, it seems that nothing I can do seems to be getting better.

I love Jesus with my body, mind and soul. Although, sometimes I forget and start to live like the world. It is these times when I turn away from the lord that I experience things like this. What I am getting at, is that we can't live apart from Jesus. When we try to get caught up in everything besides our faith, we lose our strenth to go on. We have to be stronger and find that strenth that the Lord can only provide. If we will only look to him, our lives will turn from bad to good.

Find that strength in yourself, take time for the Lord. Put away those things that keep you from his word and from worshiping him. So many are forgetting about the Lord and getting caught up in today's world. Don't make the mistake, pray for those to see the Lord and experience a change in their lives, to come closer to the Lord and become stronger in their faith.

Even I have failed, but I know I can be better. I just have to find that strength. As I am writing this a song that I love just came on. It's about starting a new life with the Lord. Goto Youtube and search Josh Wilson "Before the Morning". It will bring a smile to your face.

May the Lord be with you and his light shine down upon you.

Stand Up

There was a time in my life, a time where I didn't think I had the energy to do anything. I was weak both in body and in spirit. I was not with the Lord and all my problems seemed to grow even more. Each one of us is going to find ourselves in that time and place, we're going to feel like just sitting around all day, not wanting to get a single thing done.

We are going to feel like life doesn't matter to us, we're going to reach bottom. That doesn't mean we give up. We must stand up and take notice of the Lord, we can't live apart from him and when we try to do, well we all know the answer to that.

Jesus can only do so much in our lives, when we follow him and give ourselves to him, the things around us which we thought were so hard will seem so easy. It seems silly, but it's true. When we let our guard down and give in to everything that the world has to offer, we will only fail.

We need Jesus each and every part of our day, it is his word, his presence that makes us strong. Just going to church once a week is not good enough. The devil is very cunning and looking for everyway to reach into our lives and take control. He will find his way in and then it's usually too late, but with Jesus it's never too late.

So stand up, dust yourselves off. Grab that Bible and read his word, talk to him and give your every waking minute to him. Show him how much he means to you in your life and when you do, you will see greater rewards than you could truly imagine.

Jesus really does love you, he wants to see you doing well. Even when you are down, feeling blue he is still there knocking at your door and trying to get in. Don't shut him out, open the door and let him in.

If you stand up and open your eyes to the wonders of the Lord, then you will see your problems disappear. It's as simple as that! It's taking the iniative and starting is what most people fail to do.

If at first you can't succeed, try try again. The Lord knows it's not easy, but he's there each and everytime you come back. Never give up on the Lord, he won't give up on you.

The Destination Is There

A few people just started a new job at a retail store, they are going to be working the back room breaking down loads and sorting freight besides unloading trucks. They have no idea what they are getting themselves into. They start to walk towards the back room and to their horror it is such a mess. They are second thinking about even working.

What can they do, where do they even start? All they can do is complain to each other, they almost decided to quit but decide if they won't do anything, who will?
They decide to start somewhere, they know that starting is better than doing nothing. Soon they find themselves making great progress. After a few days the backroom looks great, it's so organized and has even caught the attention of the store management. They both get a bonus and a nice promotion.

In life, we seem to find ourselves in similar situations whether it's in a job or at home. We feel overwhelmed by what's going on in life, we don't know where to begin. We end up just sitting back and letting things get worse. We just need to take the first step and find that destination that is there. We always think that we can do it without the Lord, we end up getting discouraged and failing again and again. We just need to let the Lord lead us. It can be anything relating to our lives, if we don't have Jesus in our lives we will continually feel pressured to give up on everything. Remember, we can do nothing apart from the Lord.

There is a destination in everyone, they may not see it. They may just let it pass them by each and everyday. God has a great plan for our lives, if we choose to ignore it we will miss out on the oportunity to do great things.

We each have that destination that is there, it's upto us to take that direction towards something great. We have to set our sights on the promises and go for what the Lord has intended us to do. We can choose to think that we don't have a gift, but we all do. We just have to search deep down and find what makes us special.

God wouldn't put it in your spirit if it wasn't there, you just have to believe in yourself and take the first step. Ask the Lord to lead you in that direction which will ultimately make you a better person, a greater joy you will enjoy as well.

The Lords Plan

A young man is walking through a dense forest, he is enjoying the sunshine and the calm. The birds in the air singing their wonderful songs. The animals wandering around him, no one is around for miles. It seems to be a peaceful place for him, he's trying to get away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city he is from. He comes here every year to relax and to clear his mind. He has just been through a terrible ordeal and is trying to be with the lord.

He knows that only with the help of the Lord can he free himself from his troubles. Something started to crack in the distance, he heard something moving through the trees. He was very puzzled as he didn't think anyone was around. He saw leaping out of the brush was a mountain lion. He was terrified at this very moment. He stood there with terror in his eyes. The lion was growling and looking right at him as if he was ready to pounce.

He feared for his life, wondered if he would ever see his family again. He was so scared and he didn't know what to do. He couldn't even think, he was in tears. He didn't dare move, he knew that he wouldn't live to see the next day if he did. What should he do he thought. He was not even thinking about asking the Lord. He was too worried about being the next lunch for this lion. He started to look up, tears running down his cheeks. He pleaded with the Lord to save his life, to spare him even though he didn't think the lion would do anything.

He put his trust in the Lord and started to get down on his knees. He bowded his head and started to pray, he kept telling himself that with the Lord we can do anything. As he started to lift his head he noticed something very strange. There was no lion, it was just him. He didn't hear the lion walking away, it was if there was no lion and it was the Lord testing him in his faith.

He started to think, he wasn't trusting in the Lord. He was having so many problems because he was trying to do it all himself, he thought he was doing all the right things, but he wasn't.

He started to trust the Lord with everything from that day. He opened his heart and let the Lord lead him in his life. Things started to look up for him, he started to enjoy life in a whole new way. It was if he was reborn and he was, he was a different person. He allowed the Lord to lead him as he followed. He knew that he must never forget to trust in the Lord and never lean on his own understanding again. It would only cause him more problems when he tried to figure it out, he just had to trust the Lord and let him reveal to him the Lords plan.

Curveball

Life is like a game of baseball, we do very well for a period of time. Our batting average rises, but then we get struck out. Everytime we come to the plate it seems that life throws us a curveball. Sometimes we get hit and other times we strike out. It's not a fun series of events, but we have to get up and dust ourselves off and try try again.

We all want to be the one who gets the home run, the only way we can truly be successful is to keep practicing. The more we follow Jesus, the more we read his word and begin to live according to his will, the better we will become.

Before long, we will be hitting home runs. We will be doing better than we can ever imagine. That is the truly amazing part about God, no matter how bad we think we have it, he surprizes us and shows us that everything is going to be ok.

We need Jesus in our lives. No matter how good we think we are, the moment we go without Jesus is the beginning of the end. We'll get struck out over and over again, we have to live by his word daily, otherwise we will become weak in the spirit and will be vulnerable to every attack the devil can send our way.

We can do nothing apart from Jesus, he is like the blood in our bodies. Without it, we will surely die.

So if you want to be a pro, get those home runs in life you need Jesus. It's as simple as that.

Two Roads

Two people are walking down the road, they are both going to go in two different directions. One will choose the easy path, the path that leads to destruction, sadness, suffering that they can't seem to get out of. The other will choose to go the hard way, it is not an easy way. He pushes on and finds that the struggle is worth the effort.

In life we have two choices, we can either decide to follow Jesus and let him be a part of our lives, or we can choose to walk the easy road which will lead us to damnation. So many are going to go the easy way, just because they don't want to put the time and effort into doing the right thing. It is easy yes, but there are no rewards and life will only get worse from there on.

For those who follow Jesus and who take the hard way they will be blessed with his many rewards. Their lives will be changed in ways they can't even begin to imagine. For me, lately it has been the wrong way, I have started to ignore Jesus. I have started to fall again, not even caring about the consequences that will come from it.

I can only try again, getting back up, dusting myself off and giving it all that I have got to stay true to Jesus. I know that life will be better, I know that I will not have to worry about hardships anymore. It is true that it's been too easy just to do all the wrong things, but believe me it's not worth it. It comes with a great price and I don't want to suffer anymore.

For one of those people, they will end up never seeing their loved ones again, the time will come when Jesus returns and those who are dead in christ will be raised. The ones who are believers shall be lifted up into the clouds, the ones who did wrong shall find damnation. Do you really want that to be you? Do you really want to never see your family again. Most people don't think about it, it will happen and I don't want anyone to find that road.

"For the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation." -JESUS in John 5:28-29

So choose the right path and live eternally with Jesus
