The Proof

I was sitting around earlier, I started to think about how many people want proof that God exists, we are always searching for something to justify that God is there. The proof is already in our hearts and minds, we already know he exists. It's upto us to decide for ourselves whether he is real or not. Some people like to see physical proof, but that isn't how things work.

We can have all the physical proof we want, but if we do not believe then what good is it. Jesus showed us many miracles and wonders, but still they did not believe he was the son of God. So, even if we see all that is great in this world and do not believe, how much better are we?

In my life I have realized that there are far too many things that can't be explained, can't be proven and I still believe because I know that Jesus is real. I may not have heard his voice, or seen his face, but I do believe in him, because if not for him I wouldn't be here today.

Deep down in our hearts we already know the truth and that he is Lord and God alone, it is foolish and stupid to ask ourselves if he really exists because without a doubt he does. Search your hearts and you will know it to be true.

The proof is already there!

How Long?

If a bowling ball falls on your foot, how long will you be able to put up with the pain, you may try to be strong and walk on it, you even take medication to get rid of that pain, but deep down in your heart and mind you know it still hurts and you can't escape it no matter how hard you try. Time goes by, you find yourself living on ibuprofen, nothing seems to help. You know yourself that you will have to go into the doctor. You really don't want to do that, but you have no other choice, the pain is just getting too great and you may have broken it.

Upon going to the doctor you find yourself in a waiting room after having an X-Ray. You can't tell for sure what is wrong, you're having a hard time trying to decide whether it's broken or not. The doctor comes in and tells you that it's fractured and you're going to have to have a cast. You know that's the last thing you want, but you know that the pain will slowly go away with medication and having a cast will help.

It's the same way with putting your trust in Jesus. How long can you live without him? Probably not very long as anything and everything in your life is going to go down hill. The things you thought that made you happy only made you sad. You can deny him, but doing so will only bring more pain and sorrow. Until you take the first step and accept him into your life, you will never find true happiness.

As they say, wide is the road to destruction, but narrow is the road to salvation. Which road are you going to be taking? Just like a broken foot, the pain is always going to be there no matter how hard you try to hide it, the only way you'll get rid of it is to seek help. It's the same way with Jesus, your life will never be complete, you'll never be happy and you'll be doomed to repeat the same things over and over.

Jesus is always around, always knocking at your door, don't shut him out. Let him into your life, let him work miracles in your life, once you do that you will receive many blessings. You will see things in a whole new perspective, life will be more colorful than you ever imagined.

Jesus LOVES you and he's not going to give up on you, open the door to a better life and let him lead you home to the promised land.

Sadness

In every corner of the world, in every home there is sadness. It's overwhelming, uncontrollable and seems to always find its way in. It takes us by surprise, catches us off guard and it's one of the single most dangerous things to keep us down. There, however is a remedy for our sadness, there is a way out, a road to recovery and to happiness. It is only one name, that name is Jesus.

He will and always will wipe away our tears, lift us up and bring a smile to our face. He will give us the strength to go on, to see new horizons and to be a stronger person. So often we are overwhelmed with sadness that we forget who Jesus really is. He died on the cross, suffered for our sins and bears the nail scars in his hands to show us everlasting life.

The is only one solution to our sadness and it is accepting Jesus into our lives, opening up our hearts and letting him fill that void that keeps us down. There are many reasons for what causes our sadness, but there is only one reason for the escape of it, it's simple. It's Jesus and he will never forsake us.

Just like the darkness overtakes the entire world for a moment, light will triumph over darkness and so will Jesus over sadness. If we put our trust and our faith in Jesus , he will bring us happiness and joy. He will open new doors that we never knew existed. Jesus is like the air that we breathe, if we don't have him, we will suffocate and die. Maybe not right away, but our lives will waste away until there is no more.

Stop hiding in the shadows of your sadness, open your heart to Jesus and let the healing begin.

Rays of Sunshine

On a cold winters day, surrounded by so much devastation and so much tragedy was a young brother and sister who were shivering out in the cold. They had no home anymore, the waters rushed up and the winds took it away. The feelings in their hearts were less then great, sadness took over them as tears dropped from their eyes.

Hunched over and feeling worthless and down, they now realised that their lives were not going to be the same. Their hearts ached as their knees became weak as they dropped down and prayed to the Lord. They asked why do things like this happen to good people like us, they looked up into the cloudy sky and their faces with many tears pleaded for help, they were alone and feeling left out.

Then out of no where the clouds started to depart, rays of sunshine started to appear all over such a devastaed area reaching down and warming them up. In such a sad time, in a world of so much sin and sorrow they saw it as a sign that God does care. They stood up and looked up into the sky, their eyes no longer with tears, their hearts feeling the warmth of the Lord and then to their surprise something else happened.

A few people with blankets, food and water appeared. They were a blessing in disquise, it was if God had listened to their hearts and sent them help. Yes, their lives would not be the same, but their hearts were touched and it was the beginning of a good thing. They were no longer cold, they were no longer alone. They felt the love in their hearts so strong, that they extended their arms towards Heaven and thanked the Lord for his love. They were no longer in suffering, but felt his presence so strongly.

I dedicate this story to all of those who have lost someone or their homes in the tragedy from hurricane sandy. In a world with so much evil, there is also so much good. We can and we will triumph over anything we ask the Lord to help us with.

The Backbone of Life

Everyday, i have gone through problem after problem. I can't seem to bring myself up for long before falling down again. It seems that life is wearing on me quickly, i am weak and i am sore. I can't seem to find happiness or joy. Anything and everything is like a heavy chain holding me down. So one day i was driving down the road, i started to think why is everything happening to me. Why am i having such troubles in life. Why me?

I was listening to christian radio as always and then the idea popped into my head, i could feel the Lord saying that i am the backbone that holds you up. I knew in my heart that because i was not reading the bible, not accepting Jesus as my personal savior and not even paying attention to him that everything could and was holding me down. I forgot who Jesus was, i was so wrapped up in everything that could make me happy in my life, but was i think about making Jesus happy. No, i wasn't.

I realised then that we can't do anything without Jesus. He is the backbone of our lives, he is the one that holds us up and gives us the strength to keep going. We are like slugs without the Lord in our lives, and of course we are going to have troubles when we try to go about it our own way.

It is not easy living in a sinful world, trying to be a christian with everything around, but i do know that the more we reject the devil, the more we find fellowship with other christians the easier it will get. Life isn't going to be easy, but it's what we make of it. We have the tools at hand, we can either pick up that bible and start to read it, gaining wisdom and strength in the Lord, or we can just put it off and then find out how miserable our lives are. Just like someone said, energy begets energy.

It's the same with the Lord, trusting in him and doing things his way will make us stronger and build our faith and our relationship in Christ.

The Path

The path that we walk everyday is going to be filled with trouble, each and everyone of us is going to be tempted to take the easy way out, the quickest way to our destination, but is it always the case in our favor? No, it always leads us to more disappointment and pain, more suffering and anguish.

In life we walk down that road which can wind up and around a hill seeming to never end, we are always tempted to take the easy road out, to get to where we want to go right away, but it never seems to work that way does it? It will always cause us more trouble and heartache.

There is only one path that we need to take and it's the path towards Jesus. You see my friends, when you try to walk alone and don't listen to the Lord you're lives are going to be confusing and you're going to go through more pain then you ever thought was possible. Things that you didn't expect to happen will and you're going to blame yourselves for everything. There is only one solution, one answer that will help you through this dark time.

It's simply Jesus, there is no other answer to your question. If you do not have Jesus in your life, then you don't have happiness and you will never be on that right path. Even i until recently have realised my whole problem. I have been trying to walk alone in my life and i have felt more pain and suffering as a result.

The things that i tried to accomplish have only failed and backfired in my face. I have become so depressed and let everything get to me, but how could i forget that the only person who mattered in my life was missing. It was Jesus, sure i thought i could do it all, but i was so wrong. Apart from Jesus, WE CAN DO NOTHING! Do not ever forget that, becuase without Jesus there is no path, there is just disappointment.

Don't be so proud to accept Jesus, after all he loves you more than you know and will forgive you no matter how bad your sin is. Find that right path today and your journey home will be much easier.

Sowing the Seeds

A family plants a garden, they get a bunch of seeds, make a big area in the back lawn to plant these seeds. They have it all planned out and everything seems to be going well, after a while the plants start to grow, they flourish and a new garden starts to emerge. Then the sunlight starts to diminish, the water isn't as abundant as it was. They give up and quit pulling the weeds, the garden becomes a disaster, it dies up as the weeds take over and block out the sun and take the nutrients that are already in the ground. This once great garden is now nothing more than a field of weeds.

In life it is the same way, we are the seeds that are growing, and we need the light of the Lord to survive, we need water and we need nutrients which help us, but the one thing that really cuts us off are the weeds of every shape and form that seems to grow around us in our lives. They take over, they take control of us and we become the weak ones giving into their every temptation.

We fail to do what we wanted to and we wonder why we have it so bad. Jesus is the weed picker in our lives, if we just accept him and believe in his resurrection then we are saved, but it's when we choose not to accept him and just try to live our lives according to our own will. That's when we get choked by the weeds of all kinds, making it hard to breathe as we give up on everything and anything.

We can grow and mature into anything we desire with the Lord, all we have to do is believe and accept him into our lives. I once was a seed who was headed in the wrong direction, ready to die but he lifted me up, saw how much i meant to him as he means so much to all of you.

His overwhelming love for you no matter what you do is what is amazing, he will never turn his back on you. No matter how many times you have turned away, he is still there with open arms waiting for you. Just know he will NEVER turn you away. That's why he died on that cross, rose again to forgive our sins. No one else has ever done that for you and me :)
